This plate in the picture attached (I think skid plate) has been dangling for over a month. Because I live in an apartment I don't keep socket wrenches and jack stands on hand however I'm going to a my mother's house and she has jack stands and socket wrenches and all sorts of tools.

Anyone know which plate this is and what tools are needed to remove it? This is a picture looking underneath from the front of the car. Easy job or will it be a pain? Anything I should be concerned about?

    Thanks!

It's hard to gauge exactly where your issue is from just a 2-D photo. But I'm going to guess it's part of the under-engine splash shield (the same large piece of plastic that covers your engine) or the plastic piece that's directly to the rear. The attached has a photo of that area along with which clips/fasteners are needed.

The panel is held on by a combo of 10 mm headed bolts and plastic fasteners that you pry up on the tops to release. You'll need to either raise the front with a floor jack and settle onto safety stands, or run the front up onto ramps. See the oil change link in my signature for more info. (on a phone turn it landscape to see signatures)
