My used 2008 just lost a headlight bulb and when I replaced it I saw I was missing the dust cover. I'd like to take care of that before I put in Hikari LED replacement bulbs.

There are many generic H4 headlamp back covers available online, but it's hard to confirm actual fitment. I cannot even find the OEM p/n for this rubber cover. I think 80mm covers like these are appropriate?

If anyone has a link to something that definitely fits properly, I would appreciate it!

That could be an option IF I could find the p/n to verify fitment. The OEM part lookups don't seem to have anything at all. The headlight assy lists the cover for the upper bulb, but not the headlamp. ‍♂️

Every repro part I have found has different looking parts, often wildly different sizes, with a note that says, "Yep, DEFINITELY fits your Prius, yep, definitely." It's just not inspiring confidence.

These are out of stock but I ordered a set from here a few months ago and they fit my Eagle Eyes aftermarket halogen headlamps. My car had HID from the factory and the previous owner converted to these but were missing the dust covers. The generic won't fit the Prius as the covers mount at an angle to the fixture. Toyota part number 81139-47060.

Ah hah, that's it! Thanks guys. I have one on the way. And it looks different enough than the generic ones I am glad I got OEM, I do not trust generic fitment.

I think what tripped me up was discussions called this a "dust cover" or "rear cover" but the p/n name is different enough it was hard to find. And oddly if you look at the headlamp assy, it includes the cover for the turn signal... but not the headlamp.

Be advised if you install LED, this dust boot was designed with the halogen bulb in mind. The diameter of many LED drivers may be larger especially with the oversized heatsink and cooling fan. My current LED has a removable mounting ring which has to be mounted into the fixture, this dust boot, and then the LED body. I'm currently running without the boot and intend to remove the entire headlamp assembly so I can install properly.

Good to know, thanks. I do plan to install Hikari LEDs... We'll see how it goes!
