signal-2025-05-21-110757_003.jpeg signal-2025-05-21-110757_002.jpeg With some of the advice on this forum, I got a 2019 Corolla wheel for my 2019 Prius Prime as a spare. Specifically, it was a 15*6.5 steel wheel/rim.

The last time I needed to use it, the shop told me that my existing lug nuts for the original Prime wheel were the wrong size (too short?) for the Corolla wheel. They put on a few lug nuts as a temporary solution but they became worn where it connects with the wheel (see pics).

So what's the correct lug nuts that I need to get? Also is my wheel now messed up from where the lug nuts bolted in?

    Thanks

You need 12 x 1.5 lugnuts with acorn or tapered style seats.

Your OEM lugnuts should be fine to use on your OEM alloy wheels as they seat on the flat washer above the shank.

This is what I used with an older Corolla steel rim:

Toyota lug nuts p/n: 90942-01007 (utilitarian, open-ended, galvanized)

They got "lost" on my grandson's totalled vehicle, and I got these, also compatible:

These aren't the ones I was given, *sigh*. I think I'll still go ahead and get these too since it's pretty clear these will definitely work.

The white knight nuts have a shoulder, the Toyota nuts I mentioned do don’t. The shoulder is advantageous, stops socket from hitting the rim. I believe they’re cheaper too.

From the pictures you submitted, whomever did the work didn't properly center the tire BEFORE tightening the nut. Probably used an impact wrench when they buzzed them down. You can plainly see damage to both nut and rim.
Get the proper acorn nuts on there and inspect that spare tire. Make sure those new acorn nuts torque down properly and the wheel is properly centered on the axle. There shouldn't be any gaps between the base of the nut and the rim.

    Hope this helps....
