Speaker upgrade

    I would like to upgrade the sound system. I have trim 5 with JBL but I think I blew them. Is it advisable to take off the door panels and solder in new/better speakers?

    You won't have to solder them in. What speakers are you thinking about? You can modify the tweeter pod to fit other tweeters within reason.

    Thanks for the reply. I am looking at these for the replacement.

    I'm fairly new to this and am unsure about amps, and also if I need a coax connection or something else.

    Cheap or even expensive speakers won't sound much different unless you upgrade/add an amplifier under the seat.
