The car label on my door shows weights however I can't figure out what they mean apart from 1805 kg denoting the gross weight.

    What does:

    1- 1020 kg
    2- 980 kg

    Denote?

Trying to figure out the max weight the car can handle.

You mean the max service weight that the vehicle can carry the four occupants and their small luggage or whatever it should say right there on that label or on another label nearby I don't remember what it is for the generation two or three but it has a thing that says and then it says in America the GVWR which is the gross vehicle weight and then it breaks that down to front and rear of the car so you can see the split of weight going on I guess this label here from Europe or something I don't know how it's laid out but generally the car is allowed to take like 750 lb that's the passengers and their luggage or extra stuff shopping whatever 750 comes to mind of course if you have an SUV or a RAV4 or Highlander it may be a tad more than that granted but we're talking Prius here and I'm not sure if your Gen 2 or gen 3 your owner's manual should actually State this early on in the pages I remember seeing it in my older Corollas 74 through 82 it was 750 back then but I don't know what it would be today I wouldn't think it is gone up by very much
