The abs speed sensors on each wheel are read by the Skid Control ECU in the brake booster which outputs a vehicle speed pulse train SP1 to the combination meter SI. From the combo meter +S it is wired to various ecus. and devices. The can bus is also used to send vehicle speed. The pinouts for SP1, SI and +S are slightly different on a v as referenced below. The most common failure relative to this circuit on a gen3 is the brake booster/skid control ecu assuming all wheel speed sensors are ok.
