    More good news.
My replacement new style compressor arrived. (It has the orange pigtail mounted on a bracket.) We already know that the orange cable plug and socket are the same on both styles. I just found that the Denso part number HFC134a label is the same on both styles of compressors. The only possibility that it will not fit my 2010 Prius is if the long orange cable will not reach the relocated position of the newer style compressor (unlikely). If true, I will need to replace the long orange cable. I wonder why Toyota relocated the compressor connector.

Could've been as simple as the panel-mounted connector being discontinued by its manufacturer, or going up in price compared to the cable-mounted one.

I finished installing the 2013 compressor on my 2010 prius. It fits and it works great. No problems.
The 2013, 2014, and 2015 compressors have an orange pigtail cable on them. The 2010, 2011 and part of 2012 compressors do not.

Good to know. Someone asked about me picking a 82122-47010, since their friend was quoted $600 something dollars for to replace their reported "recommended replacing..." "....chewed through" cable. I found a 82122-47030 that looked the same and the data showed like there wasn't interchange information. However, this table made me think was a similar enough part aligning with everyone's prior observations.

Any observations where the 82122-47030 cable would not fit in the 2010 AC Compressor design system as a replacement?

The bolt pattern on side of compressor is same as Toyoda round belt compressor. Like Sd508 etc will offer right up use same bolts . Where differences will be is the number of contacts in your plug and compressor and in your car some cars have three contacts in the plug some have two if I'm not mistaken but the compressor is physically will bolt in the car getting into connect electrically maybe another issue but they're all basically the same voltage and should work but their plugs may be different they're too easy to find everywhere for literally nothing used so
