I just got a used 2016 v... it's just hit 100k miles, and I was going to get the engine coolant replaced at the dealership.

While I was doing this, should I get a new OEM water pump installed?

I saw this was being suggested in some used prius models, wasn't sure if it applied to the 2016.

If you're already doing a coolant change at 100k, replacing the water pump isn't a bad idea — especially if it's the original one. It's not always necessary on a 2016, but preventative maintenance can save you trouble down the road. OEM is the way to go if you decide to do it.

100k is timely, for engine water pump, and thermostat. Not sure that the inverter water pump is any more durable. Best bet sitting down when dealership quotes. Any chance of DIY, say with Aisin WPT-190?
