I got a 2015 Toyota prius c. I ordered 2 pigtail connectors for the turn signal wires so I can connect it with the pigtail female connector of the bulb base. The dealer sold me only the bare connectors without the wires because those were the only ones he could order.

Now I have this problem of soldering or... the harness wires into these bare pigtail male connectors so I can plug them into the female pigtail connector from the turn signal bulb base.
Can someone tell me if it is possible?

If not, can I just use separate regular electrical connectors to connect them one by one into the bulb female pigtail ?

At first glance, it looks as if you've got only the connector housings there, no terminals at all, therefore nothing to solder connect to.

You also generally need the terminals, or the "repair wires" Toyota sells, which have the metal terminals to click into those housings, and a short length of wire already attached, which you then solder parallel-crimp to the wires you want to connect to.

You look up those repair wire part numbers like this (that's an example, those aren't the numbers for you). When you look your own up, you also see the part numbers for the parallel crimps to use for the connection.

Solder on flexible wire harnesses in moving vehicles makes them brittle, which is why auto, air, and marine manufacturers won't use it. They do use it on things like printed circuit boards, of course, where everything is solidly in place.

Thank you for your advice Chapman. The DTLA Toyota Dealer doesn't provide the wires with the connectors on ad they showed me in their online catalog. This is why I orders only the connector housing. I will search for a crimping tool for this kind of connector to crimp them directly on my harness original wires: 3 colors, white, green and purple.

Curiously my mechanic told me that I don't have the harness and I will have to order it from the dealer: approx. $100.

I know that my harness is there because I tried to connect a 2 wire cable with pigtail from China ordered on Ebay. After I connected them they didn't work properly generating a short circuit.
So now I will insist again to the shop manager to look again under the fender with a flashlight so he can recognize the harness. He could fix it because he told me he carries the full 3 wire cable with attached connector.

In case he refuses to help me do u know where I could search for this special crimping tool??

    Thank you so much!!
