    Hello All,

just changed my air filter and noticed the container that said Inverter coolant was filled to the Low line. Had this car for 12+ years now and never noticed, my ignorance-

what is inverter fluid? Is it the same as anti freeze/coolant fluid? Is there a brand recommendation? Do I need to fill it to the Full mark?

    Thank you!

Yes, the same stuff is used as for the engine coolant.

should I fill to the Full mark or somewhere in between Low & Full?

$31 on Amazon; as low as $15 at a dealer but you have to shop and ask for a discount in person.

Anywhere between low and full is ok. You could get an oil change at the dealer and ask them to top it off. Around here you can sign up for service emails and usually get buy one get one free oil changes.

You should get both coolant system changes every 50k miles to be on the safe side. I average 30k on the engine drain and fill diy.

Push come to shove, buy a gallon of distilled water and fill in between low and high.
