It's just a boot screen so maybe the screen itself or it's electronic board been replaced maybe an Asian market car etc . Who cares boot screen . All else functions normally . Nope don't know how to change
Someone was able to access the system and replace the boot screen image... This is how people first learned to hack Hondas at the start of the 2000's. Toyota has thus far been locked down too much to do what Honda hackers can do, but this photo gives me hope. Or maybe its just the wrong ECU? @SFO or @ChapmanF what ECU controls this screen? Does a Lexus have the same plugs?
Lexus diiint have a car with this at time I don't think in 04 thru 09 wasn't Lexus still stuck in IS 300 type cars or such ? Wine glasses stacked on a V8 hood etc
This is also a relatively common early failure mode. Upon boot up after turning on the car, it will sometimes show the Toyota boot screen and sometimes Lexus. The MFD is heading south and will likely fail soon. If that screen is all it shows, the mfd is done and will need to be replaced.
It also looks 04 05 ish 06 up a bit different. I did not think lex had a 7 in in these years realizing the rlecs could come in different housing
