Surprised this thread doesn't exist yet. I have been photoshopping a bunch of other OEM wheels on the 5th gen (using an app on phone, so results aren't great, but give a fair representation of what it would look). My goal has been to find a wheel & tire set that is:
    1. Smaller than 19" to get a bit more rubber & ride quality
    2. Wider than 195 to get a bit better grip and handling
    3. Are either 7.5 or at the most 8" wide to keep from going to too much tire and sucking up efficiency
    4. Lighter than 46 lbs all-in per wheel (which is what the OEM XSE pizza cutters and 195x50x19 weigh)
    5. Roughly same rolling diameter as stock (26.9") - 225x5
    6. Not the stock 17s because those look awful
It is hard to hit all those criteria! Except for a few of the choices below, most are heavier than 46 lbs and wouldn't qualify, but I did the photoshop anyway. Note: Some of these are not 5x114.3 and would need adapters to make fit.

    1. Forged Prodrive GC07C
    2. Forged Lotus Evora S1 wheels
    3. Cast Audi S3 'rotors'
    4. Cast AMG C63 wheels
    5. Cast AMG monoblocks
    6. Cast Kia wheels
    7. Forged BMW 'clownshoes'
    8. Forged BMW E39 M5 wheels
    9. Forged Porsche 'lobster claws'
    10. Cast Porsche Cayman wheels
    11. Cast VW 'salad shooters'
    OEM, for reference:

MSW Type 48 17x7.5 +45 - not sure about weight but based on weights of 19" and 20" type 48 google estimates the weight to be 25 to 30 pounds.

Tires Michelin CrossClimate 2 205/55R17 - Tire diameter is 3% smaller at 25.9"

I used wheel-size.com back in 2023 to shop wheels. Can't figure out currently how to access the wheel configurator tool which let you upload wheel images and place them on your model of car. It looks like they may give free access if you sign up with email.

Here is a photo from the tirerack configurator of Enki Vulken wheels which are available in the same size.

Does anyone know the wheel width + offset we need to stay within to avoid rubbing issues? I just ordered some Enkei RP03 in 18x8 +40. I saw someone on Facebook post 19x8.5 +35 and it lines up with the outside of the fender so I'm concerned I may rub during autocross or on speedbumps.

Before I bought my tires I watched some videos on backspace and front space and how to measure. Here are my numbers.

    Max Back space - 8"
Max Front space to flush with top of fender - 2-7/8".

With that information you can use a tool like Rim & Tire Size Calculator. Custom Offsets - Wheel-Size.com to see how you setup fits.

I used 30 mm for wheel well clearance, 16mm fender clearance, 50 mm for suspension clearance with stock tires of 195/50R19 with 40 mm offset.

Here are a couple of threads and posts with bigger wheels and tires that have worked out.
