Hey Friend, I just want to ask some advice that I saw a water Pump for my 2013 Prius on Rock Auto that is way cheaper than my local auto part store and other web store(Amazon). Any advice or tip on their store. Thank you.

no, there stuff is all cinese counterfeit. that is why so cheap. important parts should be purchased from dealer only, online is okay.

I've bought a few items recently, for an old Honda, an oil, it's gasket, an extra rim (refurbished). It went ok, good price, fast shipping, well packed.

It depends what you're looking for I think. Do they have Aisin WPT-190? That's the non Toyota-branded water pump used on third gen engine coolant.

I don't buy anything on Rock Auto but, instead, have found a few Toyota dealerships up in Denver that let's you order and then go pickup parts at around a 20-25% discount over MSRP.

I use Rockauto but I also use online dealer sites for some parts. Rockauto is just an efficient warehouse-reseller and the good thing with them is you have the choice of manufacturers. I never choose the economy parts and I research the brand/manufacturer as best I can.

If you shop there and choose a poor brand then that is not something they controlled. There may very well be problems with parts manufactured in China, but that does not mean they are counterfeit. There are brand companies that use contract manufacturers in China or have their own factories there ( to the extent you can own a factory in China).

I buy from Rock, but mostly for simpler items like filters and wiper blades.

For something as important as a water pump I'd look at one of the several Toyota online parts dealers. They sometimes have discounts from MSRP and you aren't going to have a quality problem. The electric water pump is not a good place to look for discounts- a dodgy one can cost you an entire engine.
