Yep how dare President Trump send in the National Guard to prevent LA from getting burned to the ground, and against the Governor's wishes! This has never been done....oh wait: JFK federalized the Alabama National Guard and deployed it to the University of Alabama on June 10, 1963. This action was taken to enforce the desegregation of the university, following Governor George Wallace's attempt to block the enrollment of two black students.
Wait, so when it happened 62 years ago it was directed against a governor who wanted to perpetuate injustice against a vulnerable population? And now it's directed against? Wait. Surely not all of the people protesting injustice against a vulnerable population. I'd like to think it's just directed against the people causing property damage amid those protests. So how many of those and how much property damage are we talking about? "LA getting burned to the ground" worth? 4,000 federal troops worth? Have the people walking around LA buying their avocado toast just not noticed yet?
