I park it in the evening with the battery showing almost fully charged. Then in the morning, it is almost fully discharged. It also shows a low MPG reading for the first 10 minutes of morning driving (bar graph). What would partially discharge my battery overnight?
Battery wearing out . My generation 2 with very new dealer batteries get parked green errynight in am at start green . But quickly to blue
Maybe assess the battery with something like Dr Prius, phone app that works with bluetooth OBD dongle. Carista dongle works well. Just the static test will give some idea; here's a screenshot, in demo mode:
It got worse. I parked the car for 1 hour and after starting, I noticed that it had only 2 lines showing on the battery icon. Will it leave me stranded?
not likely, and if/when it does, just disconnect the 12v fro a minute and it will start and run until you shut it down again. what are the bars doing while you are driving?
