    I have a 2013 Toyota Prius.

Today I got the "Hybrid Battery Cooling performance is Low" message and followed the instructions in the NutzandBoltz video to clean the Hybrid Battery Fan.

After I was done, I received the "Check Hybrid System" message.

I can't drive the car at all.

A neighbor checked the 12 volt battery and it was fine.

Any ideas on what I can do next?

    Thanks.
    Raj.

Did you unplug the High Voltage orange service plug before doing the work? Putting that back in properly is a common mistake. If that's not the problem, you'll have error codes stored that point to the problem.

Also if that is the problem, you'll have error codes stored that point to it. :) The code for that problem is P0A0D.

I did uplug the Orange plug and did NOT put it back properly. Putting it back correctly and then unplugging the -ve of the 12v battery did the trick.

    Thanks.

did you accidentally blow the fins without disassembling it from the fan motor? Some people accidentally over generate the motor by blowing air into the fin cage and it burned out the fan motor….

I took the fan out of the car before cleaning it, but I did blow the fins with compressed air and was concerned I had blown the motor.

Thankfully, all I had done was not insert the orange safety tab properly after removing it.

Fortunate to not have to spend $200 for a new fan.

Thanks much for your incredibly helpful video. The dealership would have charged me several hundreds to clean the fan.
