The button to switch between fresh air intake and recirculating sometimes works, sometimes doesn't, and it seems to be temperature-based as to whether or not it'll function. Sometimes clicking it will cause the LCD display to change panel. Unsure where to start, or how to fix, as it's either in the button itself, or in something further inside. Is this something I need to take to an autoelectrician?
Do you feel the click in you ringer wen apply the button ? The wings that house the buttons pull off the assembly and easily broken down to reveal the real switchgear that do the actual switching maybe sticking . I've had several sets apart for painting or filming over . So I've had a few apart . They're a row of connectors in the 12 o'clock region in the wheel behind airbag . And then all goes into can system from they're and an electrical manual will be required . the factory manual of this section is quite extensive almost a whole book of the what is it 5 manual set including separate electric manual .
If you hold the button down while turning the wheel, does it have a more reliable effect when the wheel is in certain positions?
