    Help!

The front wipers were not working at all, replaced the fuses, still dead. So today replaced the motor and now the wipers run constantly whenever the engine is on.

Looked up several posts, many think it's the Wiper Relay. However, I've gotten 3 different locations reported for where the relay is located. One says in the interior fuse box. All I found are fuses, I replaced any related to the wipers. Another post says its a component of the wiper motor itself. So how do I check it or replace it?
The third is a diagram that shows the location behind the display screen. I don't want to try and take that apart if this is not the correct way to find/check/replace a faulty relay.

Help! For now the wiring harness for the motor is unplugged, but I need to find a solution so my wipers will work!

Can you change the wiper speed, intermittent, low or high speed?

Or do you mean whenever the car is ON? (What happens if, starting with the car OFF, you press the power button two times without touching the brake pedal?)

I kind of suspect the park-position switch inside the wiper assembly. If you confirm at the wiper motor (using a backprobe)* that there is no voltage at pins 1, 3, or 4 (red, darker green, or unstriped white), and only voltage at pin 2 (light green) while this is happening, then it kind of has to be that switch. It's inside the assembly and meant to conduct all the time except when the wipers are in their parked position (to make sure they go back there, no matter where they are when you turn the switch off). If you replaced the whole assembly, maybe you got a bad one. Or, if you had it disassembled in some way to replace just the motor, maybe re-checking the reassembly might be all you need.

If you are looking at sources that tell you gen 3 has a wiper relay, let alone give you different places for this supposed relay to be, you need to be more selective about the sources you look at.

    * Edit: forget I said backprobe. Better to just unplug the connector (at a time this is happening) and probe the pins in the wire harness connector.

If you backprobe while the connector is plugged in, even if voltage is only being supplied at pin 2, you'll end up seeing it at pin 3 anyway, and possibly some voltage at other pins also.
