When I touch the far left on the touchscreen on my 06 Prius, it presses buttons on the far right of the screen. When I try to calibrate the screen I'm unable to make the screen selections to do the calibration - I can get to the diagnosis menu, but am unable to touch the top left hand corner and bottom right hand corner of the screen (because the screen thinks I am touching the top right hand corner and somewhere way off screen for the bottom right hand corner.) Any suggestions on a fix for this, or other work around for getting to where I can calibrate the screen?

Maybe find the ribbon cable (or whatever type of connection was used) connections to the touch screen, separate them, go at them with some contact cleaner, reconnect them, then see if your touches are recognized accurately enough to get to the calibration screen and finish the job.

    No guarantee, but sometimes helps.

Did it start doing this with no changes, or was some work done?

If it is a calibration value that has gone off removing 12V from it for a while might reset it to something usable.

Have you tried pressing the region one button width to the left of the far right side to see if the RH buttons have moved over to the left? Not the actual images, but the area you press.

Before going to the diagnostic screens, I would try that by finding a screen with buttons on the RHS and seeing if they can be pressed, moving from right to left.

    Just a thought.
