I need to replace my big battery.

    Why do so many of you have this idea that refurbished batteries are all going to fail?!? I didn't use a "fly-by-night" company. I'm actually expecting it to last longer than warrantee. You have your ideas ... I have mine. I can replace this battery 2-more times in the next 9-years ... and still be saving $$$ over a new Toyota battery. LOTS OF PARTS AND SERVICE FROM NON-OEM DEALERSHIPS ACTUALLY WORK OUT JUST FINE.

    because we've read a lot of horror stories here, from people who have had bad experiences.

    OK ... I can understand your point. Historically though, many more people find it all so easy to complain about problems than those who compliment good service. Before you, or anyone else wants to say I'm wrong ... "Customer Service" data, in general, from simple analyzation, have shown me to be correct. I have looked up the facts of which I speak.

    human nature, that sounds right to me. we are a whiny bunch, aren't we? and the internet was made for it.

    there are some that will give you horror stories and you have to be the judge.. In my case I have greenbean installed on my 07 Camry hybrid more than 6yrs ago, car now has 233k miles (it was installed around 150k+) and still driving fine.. My other Prius has GreenTec installed 2 yrs ago and still running. My other Prius which I replaced the bad module (DIY) only lasted 2+ yrs. My friend's Prius which we DIY also lasted 6 months, we replaced the whole pack from 2nd life for $1000 and it's still running for more than a year.

    The usual issue is the warranty where it will be hard to meet the criteria and this is where most of the complaints are.
