My little brother told me that a turtle light had appeared and that the car became sluggish, and that it disappeared while he was parked relaying that information to me. He was able to drive back home without issue. When he got home I scanned it with Torque Pro but there weren't any fault codes recorded? What do you guys think?

Yes, gen 1 had a turtle light, which would come on in circumstances where the car was reducing demand on the battery to protect it. Circumstances where the battery was extra hot or extra cold would be examples. I got it one time while driving slowly up the narrow road from the base of the New River Gorge Bridge.

The light comes on to caution you that you might not get as much zip as you're used to if you goose the go pedal. As soon as conditions are comfortable again, the light goes back out, and you have the accustomed zip again.
