I've used Huper Optik ceramic tint on all windows including the windshield. The windshield was tinted at 80% and I can't notice any issues at all driving at night.

I have to also add that tinting the Prime's windshield makes a HUGE difference in how fast the interior heats up after the car is parked. It also allows the air conditioning unit to work at a much lower setting to keep the car cool.

As for questions about replacing the tint - my insurance company (State Farm) replaced both my cracked windshield and tint without any questions. This was a good thing since my windshield tint cost upwards of $500.

Ceramic tint is best imo. I currently don't roll windows down like others might mention cause of allergies.

Windshield tinting I believe is illegal unless you have a prescription for it, and most of the heat will come from there (largest surface area). Feel free to tint the other windows tho. You can also get a sun strip for the windshield, but thats extremely minor. I would just get one of those foldable sun reflector things to put on there.

Depending on how dark you go, it can affect visibility at night.

I think the biggest help (and have experienced so far this summer) is using the toyota app to start the ac before you get to the car. Its awesome seeing all the coworkers wait for their car to cool vs just driving away immediately. Does cost $ tho, but having remote start and charging hours is great.
