Recently got the P0AA6 code. Watched a youtube video that says you need to get the sub codes. I have a cheapo OBDII scanner ($22) and the Veepeak bluetooth scanner ($32) for the Dr. Prius app and neither read subcodes. What do you guys use for subcodes that isn't $500?
I use a hacked version of Techstream and also the Autel AP200. There are also many other scanners that will give you the sub-code of a trouble code.
Oh the hybrid isolation code first thing use cheapo scanner and clear codes twice back to back . Will the car ready now? Drive it stay close if you're driving okay and then codes . Get out unplug sc comPressor. You're driving in the code hasn't come back cool. Plug the air back up does the car code again if so you isolated to the AC that's one of the subs . The other main one is in HV case open up case look at inside bottom tray see the discoloration? That's battery acid leaking out of modules putting voltage to the battery tray which is secured to your chassis ground which is your 12-volt ground point so you're sending 75 DC volts to your 12 DC volt ground point not cool car doesn't like it that's why everything red won't start the last sub deals with orange wiring between HV batt and back of inverter rare..
There's a guy named Scott floating around here who has the whole manual available online I suggest look into it you have the big bucks for the 5 manual set at 300 plus dollars .
