Dr. Prius Data Interpretation

    I used Dr. Prius app to check the effectiveness of my battery grid reconditioning. The data, however, confuse me more than help.
    • Life Expectancy: Before reconditioning, it was 57%. Right after reconditioning, it was improved to 94%. I thought it was too good to be true. So after 9 days and about 60 miles, I tested it again today. The new result, 65%, a big drop from 94%. To check its repeatability, I tested a second time. It became 82%. Which one is the true life expectancy, 94%, 65%, or 82%?
    • Battery Temperature: The battery temperature was over 100F. I thought it was too high, so I used Dr. Prius to override the battery fan temperature setting. Without override, the default setting does not show a triggering temperature. With override, it looks like I can set the threshold. So what is the threshold under default condition? What threshold temperature should I set? How to control the fan spining speed?

    Welcome to the wonders of stored electrical energy as we know it as batteries . These numbers bounce around every 15 minutes every cycling of the system and So on. Generally Panasonic EV batteries last 8 to 10 years you're close I Imagine . So regardless of any numbers in any app you're close I would think just by the time in years you would be closer to 25 to 45% battery left . So it seems you're about right on schedule with time and numbers . Every time you run that test it's going to be different
