Replaced the head unit of my 2014 prius with an aftermarket stereo. That causes me to lose the ability to reset maintenance required light after an oil change.

I tried looking up and resetting codes with an obd2 scanner but no luck. Any suggestions?

Buy the harness that allows you to use the steering wheel controls.

I believe you put the trip display on "A". With the car off, press and hold the mph/kph button,
then start the car. That's how I reset mine.

When the maintenance required alert is displayed does it block display of other info? Just curious, in Canada we don’t have this “feature”.

Pretty sure the OP has reset the oil message before, just now he lost controls because he installed an aftermarket radio without a steering wheel control harness.

Also yes it blocks all other info when you can not reset it.

The car’s audio overall is junk, shocked that people even upgrade it, still junk with new head unit. Get a code reader that doesn’t rhyme with larista to remove it. Or get a hacked version of techstream to kill the light. Oh wait that’s promoting software piracy.

    Anything wrong with larista rhyme-mate?

I think you need to share what aftermarket radio you installed and how it interfaces with the steering wheel controls. From what I've seen they should not affect the right side of the steering wheel controls where the Trip/Display/Temp/Recirculate are located. Only the left side where the media controls are.
