I have about 9 feet in the north. In FL there is pluming added at about 7 feet and other beams holding the house up.
I just put the hitch on my Sante Fe last night. I can fit under that car without ramps or lifts, so I didn't even need to get the jack and stands stands out.
(she/her) I did provide gender in profile. But if it doesn't show up tell me and I'll fix it.

It's there, when you click on avatar:

I've got a vague memory the site used to show more info in the avatars, say gender/age (if spec'd). Site's gone through changes. On a phone there's more avatar info (and signatures) showing, IF you turn the phone to landscape orientation.

I was writing about using that lift to get the car up, then you can use jack stands to support the car.
And you lower the car onto them, then the lift is not supporting the vehicle for extended periods of time.
You won't have to lower it all the way either.

I found a picture that showed the clearance we actually have. Vehicle in the photo is a Ford Edge.

A regular garage. Do you have that drain line also, or not?
Either build, or have built, 4 ramps that are long so you can drive up on them.
Or a jack and jack stands...

Is the car clear of that beam and pipe?

Hang on, just go in nose first.

I'm going to figure this out this winter. I'll show you guys what I come up with before next summer season.
Current deault answer is jacks in the 16-24 inch range.
Preferred solution is some sort of ramp solution that still disassembles for storage. Could be wood; or could be metal loading ramps suspended on solid stands of wood/concrete/metal.

i agree with mendel. nose in looks like you get more clearance, but i'd have to see it.
