What is the reliable ones now? KYB is like $60, Sachs ~$80. OEM is $125.

Recently i replaced the struts on my 2010 Odyssey EX model with 144k on it. There was no leak, but each small cracks on road, it was sensitive. There was no noise also and no cupping on tires. Basically other than the ripped boot, it was looking fine. Being heavy, the bounce test is also not easy. Once i took it out and removed the spring, the struts was shot. Both sides. I can push it down and it will never come back. Replaced with Sachs brand from RockAuto. It feels more solid on the road and small cracks on road, does not affect much. Replaced ONLY the struts and strut below, other parts were near perfect, like the mount, bearing etc.

On my Prius with with ~154k, no issues so far. Wonder if i just have to replace it because of the age with KYB brand. Tried Sachs on the Odyssey and seems good.

    Opinions?

I know mine are probably getting tired. Did you ever decide? I read reviews on KYB can be stiff but that varies person to person. How’s the Sachs on the odyssey been?

Haven't decided yet. It does not have the sensitiveness to small cracks like odyssey had. I am leaning more towards KYB. Also need to check the whole suspension. The sway bar link boots are cracked and i can see it from outside.

Sachs - So far good. No issues on the odyssey. Forgot to mention that the rears on the odyssey are KYB's. Its been couple of years and so far good.
