    Since you're posting in this thread I assume you're considering replacement with a 4th gen engine? It's by no means the only option, and has pros and cons.

    You could always take it to Mendel's stomping grounds in Vancouver where there has to be plenty of hybrid shops keeping their Prius v fleet on the road.
