I wanted to share my recent project of upgrading the seats in my Gen 2 Prius. The original cloth seats were fine, but I missed the comfort and luxury of heated and cooled seats.

I found a Prius Prime driver seat from a wrecked car and started the process of making it fit. After some research and modifications, I managed to get it done. If you're interested in the detailed steps and how I did it, visit my blog for the full story and insights.

How’s the seating position? Did this allow a lower and further back seating position? I’m fine with my seats just want more room.

You know, now that you mention it... It can accommodate additional leg room for the driver, I'd just have to modify the parts... now you have me thinking, I will 3D scan with the OR seat in its furthest back position then 3D scan with my current seat to see the differences and if any additional driver leg room can be acquired. Would you want the seat to go back to its furthest and possibly touching the rear seat bottom?
