Saw a somewhat dirty Hyundai Equus the other day. Unique little catch.

 

On I-5, Northern California. What appeared to be a 2010 Honda Insight merged into traffic around Winters. I slowed to let him pull in to traffic ahead of me. I was surprised to realize how closely it looked like a Prius from that same time frame.

 

Yes, and very different from the original two seater 3 banger aluminum version

That Honda Insight was a blatant copy of the 2010 Prius with really nothing to show for it. I remember our local Toyota dealer bought that Honda Insight and displayed it next to the new 3rd Gen 2010 Prius for comparison!

 

Yesterday I spotted a Hyundai Nexo (Fuel Cell) car. I think that it was a first generation model. According to the wiki page there are only 1500 of these cars sold in the US since 2018. Only 93 of them sold in the US in 2024.

The car was parked in the section of a McDonalds that was typically used by Uber drivers and other home delivery food services. I'm not sure where it would get it's fuel.

 

Been awhile since I've been here, but a few recent cars of interest have been a couple Bentley Continental GT's, a Charger Daytona (the last gen, not the EV), A Lexus LC500, and a burnt orange R35 GTR. I love the cars here!

 

Thursday, actually, but a 1962 Volvo 544.



I had to go find the owner and remind him about the headlights. They weren't auto-off in 1962.

 

That was before the gave vehicles high hips, increasing blind spots. That was one reason I bought 2008 Corolla when I saw the newer design that made it here in 2010.

The local Toyota salesman saud Toyota is more interested in safety than blind spots. Unfortunately, he was serious. No, i dd ot buy a car from him. Only a test drive.
