Hi all. Earlier this year I replaced my halogen low beams on my 2015 v with GTR Ultra 2 LEDs. Awesome upgrade that I highly recommend. I just saw that they released the Ultra 3s which are brighter and are claimed to have even better beam pattern. Though I've never had anyone flashing me with these leds. They were on sale so I bought both the low and DRL/highs as well an an anti flicker module. The low beam install went very easily again, but the DRL/high beams are another story. So I ask for your help. The DRL/high beams are a 9005 bulb that uses a standard p20d base and connector. But Toyota uses a different connector that connects to the back of a dust cover. This one Then inside the dust cover there is a short cable that ends with the p20d connector. I need to get the anti flicker module inline but the connectors are wrong. Also it seems like the dust cover doesn't leave enough room for the cooling fan of the new bulbs. Has anyone dealt with this before and can recommend a solution? Thanks. PS There is no dust cover on the low beams, so is it even needed on the DRL/high beams? I will test out the Ultra 3 low beams this evening and post a review.
Are you sure you need the "anti flicker"/can bus interference filter? The newer led bulbs have added internal filters on most brands.
AUX beam S series nerd nothing and fanless for years now the mfg do make fan models but I know use beam tech too had em. 8n for years now
Cool. I looked at the Auxbeam and I think I would have the same issue. There is an outside module that I need to wire through the dust cap and a different connector to deal with. Also, I believe, the anti flicker module is not for any canbus error. It is to provide the LED with the proper PWM voltage signal as the Prius just drops the voltage for DRL.
