Hello all. I am an avid Prius lover for 20+ years. I wanted a new 2025 prius, hoping they would remove the ugly "bucktooth" license plate mount. I was very disappointed when it was still there BUT being a vintage hot rod guy I came up with a plan to surgically remove it. I cut off the lump! I then made a 3D mold of the removed section out of aluminum. I then sourced some polypropylene which is the same material and thickness of the bumper cover. I then thermoformed the plastic using the mold I made to the exact dimensions needed to just bond the replacement section in the hole where I cut off the " ugly bump". I then took it to my body shop to have it repainted! Perfect!
