Car: 2011 Toyota Prius IV (trim 4) VIN: JTDKN3DU5B0280137 Mileage on removed unit: ~117k Symptom/history: Replacing brake booster/actuator and pump/accumulator From my car I pulled a unit marked 47270-47030 (that’s the number on the part I removed). When I look up my VIN on Toyota’s parts site, it shows: Brake booster/actuator (with master cylinder): 47050-47140 Brake booster pump/accumulator: 47070-47060 Questions: Is 47270-47030 an older/superseded number for 47050-47140, or is it a different sub-assembly? If my original part says 47270-47030, should I replace it with the VIN-matched 47050-47140, or do I need to find the exact same number as the one I pulled? Can I replace only the booster/actuator (47050-47140) if my pump/accumulator seems fine, or do these two parts need to be a matched pair? After installing 47050-47140, do I need to perform any initialization/calibration with Techstream?For example: linear solenoid offset/zero point, master cylinder pressure sensor zero point, yaw/steering angle, etc. (beyond the ABS/ACC brake bleed). I did it last time without any issues after replacing it on another car; those were used parts, not the new ones. If calibration is required, can Techstream do all of it at home, or is a dealer-level routine needed? I can post photos/labels of the removed unit if that helps. Thanks!
Because Toyota's parts often have numbers visible on them that aren't their part numbers, this ends up being a FAQ. You can read more here and here. (That's a gen 2 thread, so you'll need different numbers for gen 3, but you'll get the idea.)

Remember that in your first post you said 47270-47030 was the number you read somewhere on your old part, and notice that the "MARK" you should be looking for will be something with a 47210 prefix, not 47270. From your post #4 example, an actuator with part number 47050-47140 will have mark 47210-47310, and an actuator with part number 47050-47150 will have mark 47210-47320. Here is an eBay listing where the seller found the same 47270 number you did, and thought that was the actuator's part number. You can find the 47210 "MARK" on that part on the forward edge, under the big TOYOTA: We see the MARK on that item isn't one mentioned before: 47210-47470. From this listing we can see that the part number for that item is 47050-47310. So where does the 42720 number you found (and these other sellers also found) come into the picture? It seems to be a number found on the plug at the bottom of the stroke simulator: It might be the part number of that plug in the end of the stroke simulator (which isn't for sale, but still needs a part number for factory purposes), or the part number of the whole stroke simulator (which also isn't for sale). Nobody should be distracted by it, just because it is visible, and think it is the part number, or even the "mark", for the actuator assembly.
So, this is the part number 47210-47310 that I should be looking to obtain. I spoke with Machineic, and he said I only need to change one part 47210-47310, not the pump. No, 47210-47310 is not the part number. That's the MARK. The part number for the actuator assembly is going to be something with a 47050 prefix. The part number that you need is 47050-47140, because that's the one that comes with the MARK 47210-47310 painted on it (according to the list you posted in #4, and also the list I linked to in #5).
