Key fob has to be in the slot to start car.

    You can find more details about the antenna/SKS oscillator locations in this thread. There are sensors in each front door, the center console, and the rear hatch. The likelyhood of all sensors/antennae failing at the same time seems low. Either the fob transmitter is dead or a central SKS component in the car failed. Techstream or an advanced OBD2 scan tool should have diagnostics to test the SKS system.
