Spotting thread! Did you see any special cars on the road today?

I saw a shiny new Porsche GT3RS (paper license plates and all) on I-95 in Connecticut the other day. Very pretty car, though the wing on the back didn't seem to match the rest of the car.

From the pictures online, it's the regular factory wing- it's apparently an actual performance item so they didn't bother styling it to match the car.

 

I had two really special ones on the same trip yesterday!

I spotted this unusual prototype accessible taxicab on the cross-Bronx Expressway yesterday. Very rare sighting!

I also saw a Toyota Hilux Surf with a significant oil-burning condition on the same stretch of road.

 

Yesterday, I saw a newly-registered 1992 Toyota Paseo in Medium Red Pearl. It looked to be in excellent condition.

Today, I saw a surviving Suzuki Aerio SX AWD. I thought my father-in-law had killed the last one but apparently somebody else is still rocking one out there.

 

I've been in Italy for a week now, lots of cool little cars rolling around here.

I'm very jealous of the Yaris hybrids they've got on the streets here. I also saw a great little Lancia Ypsilon, very sharp-looking.

I had a ride in a current generation VW Transporter, they're still wonderful. Sad that we haven't had them in the USA for so long.

 

Today's best spot was a Citroen Ami:



I also saw a new Alfa Romeo Tonale in a wonderful shade of green. The color was just so good.

Another good sighting was a Peugeot 308 estate, looked like an extremely practical car.

 

My spot for today was the all-new Dacia Bigster displayed in a shopping mall.

I also saw a lovely Mercedes executive car. No badges on the back so I don't know which model.

Fantastically large, nothing like it in the USA.

 

I saw 3 DS4's today. Had to look them up- it's Citroen's luxury brand.

Another Lancia Ypsilon, it was gorgeous.

 

I saw a VW Passat hybrid estate today, it stole my heart. Gorgeous car.

I also saw a Peugeot 3008. Ugly shape, but it had some very stylish details. Lipstick on a pig.

Also saw a couple of Renault Arkanas. They reminded me of what I liked about the Honda Accord CrossTour. A crossover that was more car than SUV.

I've been walking past a parked Toyota Yaris Cross. It's smaller than the Corolla Cross but bigger than any other Yaris I've seen.

Also seen a couple of MG ZS SUVs. Pretty ugly but it's neat seeing the MG badge on something from this century.

Other interesting catch lately was a VW Amarok pickup with a custom tradesman's box in place of the bed.
