my 2015 Prius had its catalytic converter stolen last year. I installed an aftermarket replacement, but it only lasted about 5,000 miles before the check engine light came on. I’m now planning to switch to an OEM part. I found two part numbers—17410-37300 and 17410-37160—that both seem compatible with a 2015 Prius. Does anyone know the difference between these two part numbers and which one is the correct fit? Thanks!

One is for a prius with a heat exchanger and the other is for a prius without it.

Make an account with Toyota owner's website. Add your vehicle's vin number there. Then on autoparts.toyota.com, search for both part numbers. One of them will be shown as 'exact fit for your vehicle'.

Had it installed today—total came to $1,800. The part itself was $1,400, plus $400 for installation at an outside auto shop. Pretty expensive!

Is that for OEM Toyota cat? Also, $400 sounds steep for install. Are you getting a cat shield this time?
