I have never messed with them on my 2007 standard but the right side went out and came back on, I was going to take it out and look at it but Wth is that a weird setup. So I had to come inside and watch some videos and research and now I don't know what I need and I don't want to gouge my hands up twice taking it apart to see what I have then order something. Anyway when I put my VIN in Partsouq it says I need Toyota 9098113058 which their photo just shows a bulb with 4 prongs on it and it says
"NHW20 12V 60/55W,HALOGEN" . The Phillips that Amazon wants to sell me without my VIN shows one of those right angle plastic things on a bulb. The existing lights looks very white.

Hood up look at edges if headligh housing ???? See a bunch of yellow hi voltage stickers on edges of headlight housings ?? Yes that's HID system no yellow stickers it's standard H4 halogen either way led are in you're future more than likely. They also make hid d4s to LED conversions . You probably will no revist these conversions once completed. I've both types here hid and halogen once adjusted no comparision

Thank you that's a great identifier yes there are 2 high voltage stickers. Do you have a recommendation for LED conversion brand or method?

Alla d4s to LED conversion . Amazon generally . generally . But a smart person mite wanna pull housings and bypass the hid ballast instructions in package. To bypass ballast very simple. Then remount . You'll probably never revisit this .

What does bypassing the ballast involve? Cutting off the existing connector on the car?

All you're doing is by passing ballast and picking up 12V near the headlight or in it to power the led so a bad ballast don't affect you're new led light. It don't need ballast for the light to light if ya will just takes a second . No need worry . If you think you're going to have to put this back it's not that difficult to do but I assure you you won't be doing that

Man they don't make that bulb anymore. I need another recommendation that I can bypass the ballast, their video doing so is good I don't know why the **** they would cancel that product. I ordered their direct replacement because it says it runs on 12v. - 36v I think, but I think it's going to give errors if I connect it straight to 12v like in their video. Does anyone else make a product like that? In any case their 'plug and play' that requires me to buy a new smart ballast only has 1 wire.

What kind of errors would you think you would get and what would make you believe that what kind of bulb errors we get in gen2 Prius I thinks none or headlite OUT maybe ya looking D4s to led w instructions to bypass ballast that means hookin the shiet up to 12V exactly right

Send me a picture of that stuff that you bought one wire ? That's for the lamp to light ? Ground? Yes if you bought d4s to led the d4s round connector goes to lamp. And some later designs don't have to bypass they pick up the 12volts at the ballast from the car battery. So you dont have to physically bypass. Doh
