Need to replace the fusible link in the main fuse box. It appears to be held in place by two bolts below the visible fuses. Tow driver crossed the jumper wires and blew the fuse.

Buying parts for Gen5 Prius is new territory for everyone... What did the Toyota Dealer say about warranty coverage for this? Clearly it wasn't vehicle owner error? Seems tow truck company needs to fix this for you or make arrangements to have it fixed?

So strange that after all these years Toyota has still not added a reverse polarity warning beep w/circuit protector rather than just making the fuseable link deal with it.

If you used the included roadside assistance from Toyota, then toyota and the tow truck company that toyota contracted/paid to provide the service will need to figure that out between themselves. For you, the solution is getting it to the dealer and then having them and Toyota and the third party then figure it out while you have it fixed at no cost to you.

Any news? Did you have to pay for the service? $260 or $850?

I’m in the same situation. Dealer claims “outside source” caused the fuse to pop…I called Toyota corporate to file a claim with tow service since Toyota roadside contracted the towing company. The towing company now is asking for photos and diagnostics and health reports with time stamps. Dealer has not provided this yet…go figure.
