I bought a used 2014 Prius with a softex power seat in the driver's position. but actually, it hurts my back and is uncomfortable. I need to put the seat all the way back and down to have enough legroom, but in that position I can't get the back of the seat enough upright for what I need physically. My previous 2009 Prius had a manual driver's seat and felt great. This is not a Prius C or V. Is it possible to get a manual seat and put that in the driver's position? I'm a little unclear what I'm looking at when I look at online listings of used parts.
A manual seat is available I had the softex in blk manual in persona. Unplug electrics unbolt seat put manual in place . Apply bolts . The plugs will now be unused . don't think a gen2 seat is an easy option in 10/16
I'm actually very interested in this as well, for different reasons. When you say unbolt seat, you are saying unbolt the tracks that the seat is in? The manual seat comes with tracks? And its the identical bolt pattern? From your description, this sounds like an extremely easy swap. Do I have that right?
Pretty much in all toyoda's . Electric to manual swap thru 14 or so anyway . Finding a seat worth a crap is hard part.ive posted a few on here before located close.
