Hi everyone, I have a Gen 4 Prius Prime Advance and noticed some scraping. Taking a look at the underside, I noticed the splash guards are hanging loose. No amount of pushing it back in helps, I'll need to replace it. I'm just wondering which splash guard to buy exactly: front splash guard, driver side splash guard, or both? View from the side: View from the front:
That would be the underfloor protection. Splash guard is typically the piece of plastic behind the wheel (also known as mudguards or mudflaps)
Be careful with concrete wheel stops, that's a possible culprit, doubly so judging from the condition of the bottom edge of your front fairing (the painted piece)..
Ya; your actually missing two pieces; if it's anything like my 2021. The primary, largest piece, is wheel fender splash guard. sold as a single plastic unit - though it does separate in front of the wheel - they didn't sell it as separate units. What's missing is a small aero shield in front of the tire. If you check the other side of the car, you'll see what I'm talking about; assuming everything there is in-tact. These tend to get damaged by re-bars sticking up out of those concrete parking blocks or road debris. Road debris bounced up and ripped mine apart. I had to pull over and temporary zip tie it in place to prevent rubbing or the tire from doing more damage. It's less than $200 in plastic and 30 minutes to fix. Just make sure nothing else behind that plastic was damaged. The wheels can hurl projectiles up there with significant force. Good Luck... PS. buy a few extra plastic clips, your bound to break a few removing them and some will already be broken from the initial damage.
