from Canada where we get near zero F temps in winter i ran obd2 tester yesterday and it shows 11.3v on battery. It's it time to replace or do I have a year left? B
better to get a load test at an auto parts store. how old is it? how often do you drive, can you put a maintainer on it?
If its 11.3v, ten years old and driven every day, a load test will likely fail it. An original ten year old battery should be replaced anyway in my experience. If its 11.3v, one year old and driven about once a week, a load test will probably pass. A maintainer would be a good idea. If its 11.3v, one year old and driven every day, a load test will likely pass but you may have an excessive parasitic draw. So more information gets you a better guess on what the load test may show and then how to proceed.
Yes it's a month shy of 10yrs old. So I guess it's time. At 90k and 10yrs, my maintenance app shows brakes and brake fluid. I guess time for those too. B
