I have spare tablets / phones available for the Dr. Prius App. The Bluetooth ODB2 transmitter arrives next week and I need to choose a device.

I have older iPads / Android tablets: is the larger screen size preferable over the phone? Or is there no benefit? I also have a choice between Android / Apple tablets. Is one OS preferable over the other?

    Apple is always better.
If you plan on using it while driving, the iPhone is best.
Unless you have a special mount to hold the iPad, the iPad Mini is probably better.

Will the Dr. Prius app allow me to test it on more than one device?

Yes, if those devices use the same apple account. If you pay for iAP upgrade (not really called for) it will not use family sharing, which is fairly lame. If you mean more vehicles, it’s also yes. It’s just a OBD data reader.

Dr Prius is not magic, it just presents the measured V and resistance of the packs in an easier analysis manner to the enduser.

This information is easily retrieved (including lowest and highest values, it’s an ECU parameter) and available in many other apps. I tried Dr Prius and payed for ”upgrade”. Not worth it in my mind.

I always recommend Car Scanner Pro, especially if you have any other vehicles/brands. Try both since they are both free to try.

It did for me. I also have it on my iPad. I would like to use it, but I don't have a mount for it.
