Hi guys, I'm currently in the deepest part of hell with this P0AA6 code. No visible electrolyte leaks and no water leaks. I've done all the things I could find to determine what exactly my problem is - fuses = good. Fusible link = good. New 12volt battery, etc., etc. Long story short is, I'm wondering if anyone near Brentwood (not the rich one) can bring their techstream setup by or let me pick it up to use to get my sub-codes? I have a maxx volts grid charger I'm willing to let you use in exchange. Thanks! And happy new year to all! Ginger
You can use any scanner that is capable of reading the freeze frame data for the P0AA6 code to find the INF detail code. If you do not have one, you can buy one for about $70. If you are comfortable adding an app on your smartphone, plugging in an OBD2 Bluetooth dongle into the OBD2 port in the car, following instructions, creating online accounts, etc than I recommend the Autel Maxi AP200 which is available on Amazon. Take a look at this thread, https://priuschat.com/index.php?posts/3248209
Thanks Brian! I currently have the ODBlink lx, it's proprietary app, torque and Dr. Prius. If I'm understanding correctly, I need to buy the Autel ODB reader and it's app. Any idea where I can buy this locally? Currently at Harbor freight and it's a hard no from them. :/
Correct. You can try Napa auto parts. The only place I know for sure is online at Amazon or from China on AliExpress.
Go over to home Depot and buy the gear wrench Bluetooth dongle using now sub code no prob . Unplug AC compressor . Check orange lines from battery outter relays to inverter bed long leads for tester testing for short in each cable they 2. 3 areas to check battery cabeling. inverter AC area. It looks like you are stuck in the battery case maybe we pull back . Down n dirty test for this completed? The count down battery to chassis ? Stopped at ?
