HI 2016 Prius c was giving me hard start but when i jump it with those battery pack jump starter it will start. recently, i jumped it from work and came home, the next day it refused to start even with the jump starter kit. I replaced the aux battery with brand new, i tried to start it, i can hear all the routines sounds it makes under the hood and all electronics inside the car turns on but not going into ready mode. i added the jumper to it but still not starting . i checked the AM 1 and 2 fuse they are fine. i checked with dr prius app and it says no engine or hybrid codes. has anyone encounter such problem. how can i fix it. it is my work car. what should i look at. all great ideas are welcome. what are the fuses in the fuse box under the hood by the left side of car where the metal for jumping the car for or what is the purpose and functions of those fuses or relays. what could stop the car from going into ready mode thank you
where did you connect the jumper? it sounds like a wiring/connection/grounding problem. start at the battery terminals and negative to ground connections. take the new battery (and the old one) to an auto parts store for a free load test. what is the voltage at the jump point under the hood?
One or more of the car's ECU's has to be reporting 'no ready' or not reporting at all, if the car won't go into ready mode. Get yourself a better scanner.
