Hello! My 2005 Prius is showing P3000 and C1310 codes with the red triangle, and it appears from my research that corrosion in one or more of these connection points is a possible cause: - Copper bus bar - Sensing harness - Fan connector - HV ECU pins - 12V battery terminal Of these parts, where can I buy the fan connector and HV ECU pins (connector), as I can't seem to find them on eBay or Amazon like I did with other parts? And if the corrosion is minor, how would I go about cleaning them, especially in narrow spaces? I assume some sort of specialized brush like this one would be needed, and for cleaning chemical, would something like these be okay to use? - WD-40 Specialist Contact Cleaner - CRC 05103 QD Electronic Cleaner Thank you!
I can only speak to this point. Most people just cut this connector out and solder the wires together. If you want to keep the ability to plug/unplug this connection, just buy a 3-pin waterproof connector and cut out the old one.
You need a more capable scantool. C1310 is a code in ABS that says "there's a problem in the Hybrid Control ecu". P3000 is a code in Hybrid Control that says "there's a problem in the High Voltage battery ecu". There are a few INF detail codes for the P3000, but now you need to check the HV battery ecu for codes before replacing parts. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
The OP has an older thread, which has more information about the problem, https://priuschat.com/index.php?posts/3585252 Now there are two different threads devoted to this problem.
Sorry about the double post. I wasn't sure if my latest post on the older thread would receive readership or not. Thank you for your responses!
