Hi guys! I have a 2010, the car was shaking and I took it to get it checked out and they said it was one of the Pistons miss firing, so I changed my spark plugs but it did nothing, so I decided to clean the EGR valve. When I was trying clean the EGR valve and take the throttle body off the air intake manifold to remove it My Vacuum switching valve assembly that's off of the throttle body ripped off, the wires pulled out of the sensor/plug. I am planning on trying to reattach, but I'm not sure which side the wires go into. No idea what I'm talking about...help. Should I just start looking at facebook market place for a new car?
Yes another not gen 3 or 4 if possible .. gen something known well or gen 5 we don't know lotta things came together quickly it seems . It's engine didn't really seemingly go so well in other models. Detuned for gen 5 . Will see.
Nothing like trying to tell a violet wire from a black one in bad light.... On the bright side, I doubt the solenoid will mind even if you get them reversed. It's not like other things that would care.
Awesome this is so helpful thank you! Also sorry for the terrible lighting could've waited till the morning... 223500
If it's not the headgasket it's PCV condensation from lots of short trips. May want to have a look at the PCV Catch can thread for a relatively cheap and effective solution. https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink/topic?url=https://priuschat.com/threads/oil-catch-can-eliminate-that-knock.179588/&share_tid=179588&share_fid=1171&share_type=t&link_source=app SM-A536V ?
