What is this sensor?

    Yes I broke it trying to pry the valve cover off.
    New cover is on without any problems but I need to replace this sensor.

    It's that one right next to the timing chain with a ground wire connected to the top bolt. It has a 4 pin connector that broke.

    Timing oil control valve . It's long too like 3 inches inside the engine.

    On attempting to remove it part of The housing broke off inside. I was able to get the core out. Am I going to have to take the valve cover back off.

    Looks like it is so you missing part of the sensor the outter cover. Unless needle nose can grab it ,?

    I have a reverse threaded not extractor thats got a hold of it but it won't pull out.

    Got it out...all good. used nut extractor to twist it out.
