Wipers Are Chattering

    Any recommendations for wiper blade inserts that last? From day one my driver side wiper had a very slight vibration noise but someone said this is normal. Do others have this vibration? Now it’s chattering like crazy. I examined the rubber surface and it looks fine. I’ve never needed to replace blades this soon or had this severe of a symptom before replacing. Thanks

    No expert, but I'd go OEM.

    Anyone ever put some crap on the windshield?

    If day one, maybe something was on windshield. Perhaps clean windshield real well before new blades?
    Perhaps cleaning windshield real well would help anyway.
    Maybe you can clean the blades...alcohol? That's a job for the InterWeb. :)

    I would try cleaning the blades and glass first.
    I use rubbing alcohol for the blades. Replacement blades have come with those alcohol prep pads, but those get dirty fast.

    Yep; chattering is usually some sort ob build-up on the glass and wiper blades. Needs more cleaning because it's such a large blade and covers such a large surface area. I clean my glass with some sort of glass cleaner then follow-up with RainX. That usually gets me about a year. Aphid dropping are the worst and will make your blades skip, while you can still see through your glass clearly. You'll need to scrap the glass with a PLASTIC puddy knife to get it all off. Once you coat the glass with RainX; it'll prevent those droppings from sticking to your glass.
