I would love to add this to my car. On my printer using PLA it estimates over 2 days of printing in the current orientation. Is it possible to provide a model that doesn't have the extra supports added? I'd like to print in a different orientation to see if it shortens that time and filament amount.

I dont think there is faster than what I oriented. The file I shared on Makerworld, you can delete "cube" objects and leave actual object alone. That would save you just a little bir of time but, if you rotate the object and slice, you will see that it takes more time because it created new supports. Also if you change the oriantation of the object, you will see layer lines visible and it wont look good when the print is done.

If you really speed up, you need to cut the object half and print 2 pieces. But I have not tried this.

For me, it takes 13 hour to print. Even if I wanted to print pla, I could not make it less than 13 hour.

I'm coming up on hour 24 on the main tray print. This is my second attempt. My first attempt failed at hour 20. I change the orientation and tried again. This attempt seems to be working much better.

I'll need to do a lot of cleanup on it as I had a lot of stringing going on. I'm considering throwing on a coat or two of paint to smooth out the print lines after I do a test fit. I'll post pics of the final product.

I'm looking forward to sunglasses season!

Thats good. For the printing issue, my only problem was the bed adhesion / warphing. I have to put 3 of my jacket on top of the printer and pre-heat the printer like 30 min - 1 hour. It still warps but very small amount.

I use asa. But if you print with basic filament like pla etc, it should not give you any problem.
