205k miles, not getting a code from it. Mileage is 49 mpg. I bought one from Amazon for about $24. I can either return it or toss it on, Which should I do?
IMHO; if it ain't broke - DON'T screw with it. Attached is an example of replacing stuff that's working fine. Especially if your going to install a non-OEM and possible counterfeit part in place of an OEM part. MAP sensors don't really wear-out; unless you've removed the air filter and it's constantly getting pelted by debris. Just change your air filter every 30K miles.
I think there'd be a code if there was any problem with the current MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor. It doe sit in a bit of a cesspool though.
